24/7 Emergency Response
Here at Hazmat One, we have a fully trained operations crew who will respond 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Whether it's a fuel spill from a wreck, or an emergency biohazard cleanup, we are there to help.
What kind of help do you provide?
We have a fleet of equipment designed to help us respond to most hazardous material response situations. Here is a short list of common response situations we have seen over the last 5 years:
Biohazard Cleanup
This generally happens if someone has been injured or passed within a vehicle, homeless camp, apartment, rental house, etc... Our team is fully outfitted with the proper Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) for all response situations. We have full face respirators, Self-contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), full body coveralls, and more. Our entire response crew is fully trained in biohazard prevention techniques, such as bloodborne pathogens and narcotic exposure situations.
Vehicle Accident w/ Fuel Spills
Whether it's a semi truck overturned on the interstate, or a car accident in the river, we are more than equipped to deal with these chemicals. Our crew will drill the tank area, using high speed pumps, drain the chemicals into an approved drum, and clean the ground that may have been affected. We are also equipped to take soil samples if the fuel does spill onto the ground. We will dig it out and get it analyzed until the soil samples pass.
Chemical Spills
We have a full product line of containment booms, pads, and absorbent. We will contain the spill, then pump it into a regulated containment area, such as a drum or tub. We will then coordinate with the local waste management company to dispose of regulated hazardous chemicals. We take care of the lengthy process, and we dispose of the chemical with the appropriate local, county, and state agency paperwork.
Site Assessment
We will commonly get calls about a business that was purchased, and there are mysterious drums full of liquid found in a building. Or a homeowner is cleaning out a garage, and finds paint cans with no label and liquid inside of them that is not paint. Aside from assisting in the identification of mis-labled containers, we can also help develop a plan for drums that have Hazmat labels on them. If you have hazardous waste that you can identify, but are not sure how to safely disopose of it, we can help.
